"There are two mistakes one can make on the road to truth- not going all the way, and not starting."
My Psychotherapy Practice
You may have been considering therapy for some time or perhaps you are facing a transition in your life, either way it can be a difficult choice to make. I believe therapy is a collaborative process to explore what is hidden, meaningful, and to relieve painful feelings.
By creating a supportive, non-judgmental, engaging, environment I provide the space for individuals to unearth self-defeating patterns and enable them to detangle emotional knots through introspection. Upon self-reflection and contemplation, I feel that there is an opportunity to develop fresh insight and clarity.
"The only journey is the journey within."
-Rainer Maria Rilke
My approach is to work relationally while bringing a depth view that engages curiosity about who you are. I believe that you are the expert in your own life. I listen to what is being said and am interested in the parts of yourself that remain hidden.
At Horizons Family Counseling Center I specialized with adolescents and families in group and individual settings. I also worked at The Psychotherapy Institute with adult individuals and couples. I have experience working with a diverse population and using a culturally sensitive lens, I provide psychotherapy to individual teens, adults, and couples. I specialize working with relationship difficulties, life transitions, anxiety, depression, shame, trauma, self-esteem, and stress. I am currently co-chair of the education committee at The Psychotherapy Institute (TPI).
